Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Ibex Market ("Ibex Market", "we", "us", or "our") operates the perpetual futures protocol and the website available at ibex.market (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

We have not yet disclosed the name of the operating legal entity while the project is in pre-launch. References to "we" or "the operator" in this document refer to the entity that will be disclosed upon public launch.

2. Information We Collect

We collect a limited set of information, depending on how you interact with the Site:

• Wallet addresses. When you connect a wallet to the protocol, your public blockchain address is visible on-chain by design. We do not link wallet addresses to personally identifiable information.
• Email address. If you submit your email to join the waitlist or receive product updates, we store that address to send you the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Usage and analytics data. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, session duration, referrer, browser and operating system type. This data is not tied to individual identities.
• Log data. Our servers automatically record IP address, request timestamp, pages accessed, and browser type. This data is used for security monitoring and debugging and is not retained beyond 90 days.
• Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Site and, with your consent, analytics cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. See Section 8 for details.

We do not collect government identification, financial account details, or payment card information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate and improve the Site and the protocol
• To send product updates and launch communications to subscribers who have opted in
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
• To generate aggregate, de-identified analytics about how the Site is used

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Blockchain Data

Ibex Market is built on the Canton Network. Transactions you execute through the protocol are recorded on a distributed ledger and are inherently public and permanent. We have no ability to delete or modify on-chain records. Before interacting with the protocol, you should understand that your wallet address, transaction amounts, and timestamps are permanently visible to anyone who inspects the ledger.

Canton's sub-transaction privacy model limits what other participants can see about your specific positions — but the existence of your transactions remains auditable. This is a feature of the technology, not a limitation of our privacy practices.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of carefully selected third-party providers to operate the Site:

• Analytics. We use a self-hosted or privacy-first analytics provider. No personal data is transferred to third-party advertising networks.
• Email delivery. Waitlist emails are sent through a transactional email provider. Your email address is shared with this provider solely to deliver messages you have requested.
• Hosting and infrastructure. The Site is served through a content delivery network. Access logs may be retained by our infrastructure provider in accordance with their own privacy policy.

We do not embed social media tracking pixels, third-party advertising scripts, or behavioural profiling tools.

6. Restricted Jurisdictions

Ibex Market is not available to residents of certain jurisdictions, including those subject to sanctions administered by OFAC or equivalent regulatory bodies. If you access the Site from a restricted jurisdiction, you should not submit your personal data to us and you should cease using the Site.

7. Data Retention

• Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Analytics data is retained in aggregate form for up to 24 months.
• Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.
• On-chain data is permanent and cannot be deleted.

8. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies enable core site functionality (e.g. storing your cookie consent preference). These are set without your consent as they are required for the Site to function.
• Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate site usage. These are only set if you accept them via the cookie banner.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this domain. Declining analytics cookies will not affect your access to any part of the Site or protocol.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate personal data
• The right to erasure of your personal data (subject to legal obligations and the inherently immutable nature of on-chain data)
• The right to restrict or object to processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. You should take your own precautions to protect your wallet credentials and private keys — we never ask for and cannot recover your private keys.

11. Children

The Site and protocol are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
